Transparency is Key, Here are the FAQs
Is EMA academically rigorous?
Yes. In addition to hands-on entrepreneurship and agriculture, students receive structured, standards-aligned instruction in English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Academic mastery is reinforced through real-world application to deepen understanding and retention.
How is this different from traditional private or public schools?
EMA integrates real student-run businesses, agricultural production, financial literacy, and experiential travel into the daily curriculum. Students learn core academics while actively applying those skills in real-world environments.
Are the student businesses real?
Yes. Students operate public-facing Main Street retail incubator spaces. They manage branding, inventory, accounting, customer service, and e-commerce under guided mentorship.
How do you ensure safety during travel?
All travel programs follow structured safety protocols, chaperone requirements, insurance coverage, and age-appropriate planning. Travel experiences are carefully curated to align with curriculum goals.
How are profits from student businesses handled?
Business revenue supports school sustainability. A portion of net profits is allocated to student-owned investment accounts to reinforce financial literacy and long-term wealth-building concepts.
What ages does EMA serve?
EMA will serve students in grades K–12, growing progressively from 20 students in Year 1 to approximately 100 students by Year 5.
How is tuition structured?
Tuition varies by grade level, with need-based assistance available. EMA is committed to maintaining accessibility while ensuring program sustainability.
How are life skills integrated into the curriculum?
Students learn budgeting, investing, meal preparation, basic trades exposure, agricultural systems, and responsibility through daily participation in real-world tasks.
How does agriculture connect to academics?
Agriculture supports lessons in biology, environmental science, economics, supply chains, and sustainability while also supplying products for student-run businesses.
